Thumbs up Alcohol rubbing interior parts...help?

Hey guys, I just finished "rubbing" my trim around the shifter with some rubbing alcohol and it looks amazing! i wouldve never imagined it like that...

but anyway, thats not the question!... here it goes;
the two pieces around the volume and air conditioning controls seem to have the same finish as the shifter trim... so does that mean that they can be "rubbed out" to look all chrome like??

i will do it sooo fast if it could be done... please help!

Thanks!

I wouldn't do it anywhere else on the S. Because there is a layer that looks like Black Chrome beneath the dull grey around the shifter trim it works here, but I think everywhere else there is that dull grey finish plastic is underneath. I think you can only get this result on specific model years of the AP1 - I'm pretty sure 2000 and 2001 will work.

Another cool thing to do with your trim is have it painted:

I painted (had it professionally done) the trim in my M piano black. I may do it again and have it done a really dark silver to break things up a bit.

If I ever get another S2000 (other than a MY2001) I'll have certain pieces of the trim highlighted in a conservative color. Porsche offers this as an option, but to match the exterior color, and it looks awesome
