IMO, most s2ks come with too much negative camber in the front. This is what wears out the inside edges. IMO, the front negative camber should be -.36 or less.

Honda has tried to make a great cornering car for the uninitiated, who were raised on front drive monstrosities and have no idea of how to handle oversteer, by alignment that eats tires.

When I ordered my last alignment, with the front camber mentioned above and a rear toe in reduced to -2mm, my dealer's service manager (in his 30's, not his 60's like me) test drove the car and said "it's a little twitchy, and if you want, we'll take some of that out for free." Well, after I took a curve marked "35mph" at 80 and nothing broke loose, I felt like taking it back and asking him to reduce both front negative camber and rear toe in even more. Well, maybe next time.

Thanks,
Richard

To reduce uneven and premature tire wear, I use Dunlop SP Sport 5000 Asymmetrical tires with the alignment adjusted to 4mm rear toe-in and less negative camber in the front.

You may have to experiment with different tires and alignments to find what works best for you and your driving style.
