If you were crazy into weight savings, i think your best bet would be to lower the weight of all the rotational mass IE rotors and wheels

Get yourself some light weight rotors and lightweight 16s with some thins tires and you should feel a difference, Correct me if im wrong but i recall someone saying that in rotational mass for our car the rule of thumb is 1lb of rotational mass is = to 6lb of unsprung mass. You do the math, with 4 wheels, that could be a good amount of savings

its definitely an overlay.

cutting off the rear quartpanels, rocker panels, and door jambs definitely not on my to do list
