All hell broke loose !!!!!
Just tried to start my Stook and all hell broke loose.
The alarm kept going off, the boot kept opening and the central locking would not open the doors.
After many attempts, I got into the car but it would not start.
Looks like a flat battery to me.
The recovery service are on their way to get me going again.
The car has stood in the garage for 10 days with the alarm on.
No other devices (interior light etc) were on. I do not usually leave the car for this long in between use.
I'll ask the guy to check that the alternator is putting out a charge also.
Am I being unreasonable to expect the car to stand this long without the battery giving up the ghost.
I am annoyed
Any other people with this problem ?
The car is only 4 months old

Something similiar, after battery had been taken off for 7 weeks (to avoid draining battery) and refitted, the battery was never the same, went flat a few weeks later. Honda changed it under warranty after AA said it was crap.
One light to be sure of checking is the one in the boot, but you need someone to climb in to check it!
Be sure to keep AA report, Honda did originally want to check out the whole car, but I told them the engineers report said there was 'no drain down' (i.e. lights on), they took his word for it and replaced it, it took a few hours to source a battery, come to think of it, maybe they took it out of a new S2000 4 and a half months ago!!!!

My day has got worse minute by minute
The man from the AA turned up within half an hour. Before I had time to tell him the problem he was moaning about how he wanted to go home, he stank of stale cigarettes and looked a mess (not a good start I thought).
I told him the problem then got a response of 'serves you right for having a fancy car'. I bit my lip tightly as I wanted this problem sorting fast so I could go out.
After telling me what I already knew (the battery was flat) HE DROPPED HIS JUMP LEADS ON MY LEFT FRONT PANEL REMOVING PAINT TO THE BASE COAT AND CREATING A NASTY DING MARK.
I am a big bloke with a shortish temper so he was lucky to get away with his yellow teeth intact.
I cannot express how mad I feel about this because I do so much to ensure that my car is safe and sound.
I can understand accidents happening but the attitude of this ignoramus was well out of order.
He agreed to log the damage in his report.
I shall be claiming for the damage to be repaired in full.
I shall also be lodging a formal complaint about his attitude and behaviour in this matter.
The ding is in such a noticeable place it is driving me mad.
A trip to Brindley Honda followed, whereby they reckon it will cost about

Sorry to hear about your problems, Andy. What a bad day you're having. You have my sympathy. A draining battery can always give weird problems - just like you describe - mostly due to out-of-spec voltages screwing up any electronically-controlled devices, such as the alarm. The battery should last 3 - 4 years, and I doubt if that's the route cause of the problem. If you've got any electrical mods (like the horn), you might want to double-check the wiring. The trunk light could also be suspect (I never understood why there isn't a delay-off for that thing). Also, I suggest that if you ever leave the car longer than a week, then you should ask a neighbour to turn it over for 15 minutes (and preferably run the car around) at least every 4 or 5 days. After 10 days, I'd definitely have a garage put the battery on a full-day charge. Good luck. Hope they can fix your electrics and the ding quickly.
You should complain about the mother****er. It is his job and he is getting paid for it so why is the complaining. I hate people with such an attitute. IMO, he did drop the jump leads on purpose. It is obvious from his words "serves you right for having a fancy car" that he is envious about your car and cannot accept the fact that there are financially better off people. Sometimes these people vandalize your car and IMO in your situation he had a chance to make it happen like an accident.
