Default with all the posts about soft tops ripping...

i have an 07 with 30k miles, i don't really use 303 or anything on my top, and it is still in good shape (knock on wood). i will be picking up some 303 soon though.

who out there still has their original top? year/miles/frequency of dropping the top

When I tried 303 on my top, the first spray left oil marks.

Like oil on cloth.

I never used it on the top again.

Weird, I've been using 303 since I've had my car and it works perfect.

I have 52k miles on my car. The previous owner replaced the top but I drop it every chance I get and it's still looking good!

Mine's a 2001 with 65,000 miles on it, not a tear in sight. I open/close multiple times daily.

In fact, I am about to replace the soft top, cos the plastic window has a tear, as opposed to the vinyl. Don't ask me how, think it might have been an aborted attempt to gain entry.

Did you spray it directly onto the top? I spray 303 onto a microfiber pad and then apply it using that. I've never left any "marks" using this method.

I have 104k on the original top with no rips.

MY02 with 87k and no rips.
It's looking pretty worn because I live in an area with a lot of cinderdust and putting the top down as often as i do has worn out the texture of the top a bit. Nonetheless, it still works and has no holes

I drive with the top down at all times and rarely have the top up. My car is an '07 and has roughly over 14,650 miles.

Obviously, I don't drive my car as much as others.
