Thanks for the nice feedback, I enjoyed reading your responses. And don't get me wrong, I think the Suby is a great car too, and with winter snow approaching...

But I don't consider the comparison of a WRX to an S-2000 to be unfair. We have almost exactly the same money tied up in each car. The suby was $27k and we have about $4k in mods. The S-2000 was $30k with $1k in mods not counting my winter tires and rims

And to think that last year I almost went with an Evo

Glad to know that I wasn't the only one who struggled when driving the non-S2K car in the household...I recently switched back to run some gas through the "family car" and after one day, wanted to lower it, and go with new suspension and sway bars, because it just doesn't feel right after a summer of driving the S. I really wish winter were further away, as it will really be a tough one this year to garage the S!

I had both a 1990 C4 and the S2000 for awhile (sold the 964 in July). I must admit after spending seat time in the 911 and then hopping in the S2000 proved a most prudent experience in vehicle dynamics. The 911 was not nearly as tight, not as comfortable (yes it's true) and maybe only marginally quicker in most real world situations. The S2000 certainly is a most rewarding car regardless of price.

I'm in the market for a used NSX. I've test driven 3 of them, all 5spds. I must say our 6 spd gearbox feels sooooooooo much better than the nsx 5spd gearbox. The '97+ NSX has a 6spd and I'm curious to see how that feels compared to the S.

"DANGER do not attempt to drive a normal automobile without a proper period of thought and reflection upon the fact that it won't even come close to the s2000 experience."

So true I got in rental (malibu) and it felt like drving a large sofa down the road.

This is the exact reason why I enjoy driving my '98 Blazer during the week to work and beating around in. It makes me truly appreciate the S2k that much more when the weekend comes around.

I felt the same way when I took my dad's z4 out one day cause I had a shop install a bodykit for me.

The steering on that car feels less precise... the gear box doesn't feel as good... like the wrx... there's plenty of torque tho.. i could pass cars without downshifting.

While the "fun" on my car starts @ 6k.. for the z4.. the fun ends @ 6k...
