I don't have a digital camera sadly, however, each wheel has some corrosion.

It is mainly around the inner edge of the alloys. The outer edge that faces the tyre is on the whole OK but the inner edge is a little tawdry.

The corrosion appears in spots and grows. I don't expect this as none of my other alloy wheels have ever exhibited this behaviour.
I have been keen to clean my car and wheels on a regular basis.

When I clean my wheels it is with sponge and soapy water and then the hose and then a dry cloth.

So when I take my car into Honda I will be asking them about this.

Is there anything I can do to repair/recover these wheels?

Regards,
Simon.

I'm very interested in any info on this too, my wheels have the same growing spots on the inside part. This has accelerated during the winter, probably because of salt and other dirt. I hope to clean this up after changing to summer tires and would appreciate any tips on what works.

same thing happened to a set of cheap American racing wheeels that I have on my Jeep. AR replaced them under warrantee. But the replacement set did the same thing 2 yrs later. The tire shop later told me that AR's are C-H-E-A-P! Ask Honda if their wheels are supposed to be as crappy quality as American Racing. (who makes our US wheels, anyways?) Good luck, let us all know!

Just have them sandblasted and re-powdercoated.

I have just had a look at your pictures and this seems a little too much for my needs!!!

I understand your theory though.

But should I be paying for the work myself. I have a 3 year warranty. The alloys came as standard and have been treated very well.

Regards,
Simon.

The stock wheels (non JDM) are made by Enkei, not really considered a cheap wheel but not high end either.
