Default Almost had a gem...

Not terribly happy about this, but long story short: found an 01 SSM with 14k mi for sale and I jumped on it. It was everything I wanted...stock (aside from wheels) and OEM hardtop. Absolute cherry. Been in contact with the guy for weeks, and he insisted he didn't need a security deposit. Well two days ago, right as my loan is about to be finalized, he texts me that his wife wants to keep it so its no longer for sale. Nothing like the rug dragged from underneath you right after your credit gets pulled and loan info almost finalizes. Looking at another one in a couple days, but things like that really piss me off. Thanks for reading my venting.

I was in the process of getting married and being on my honeymoon. I would have out down a security deposit, so the fact that it took a week or so is null and void.

When buying from a private party you enter into the Superunknown. Nice avatar by the way.

That's what you get for putting marriage and honeymoon ahead of an S2000

She is a car lover as well...she's excited for me to get my next toy. Oh, and thanks about the avatar. I'm the worlds biggest Soundgarden fan.

Say hi to Kev's mom for me. I used to be, too.

Yes, with private party purchases you have to be ready to close the deal immediately. I half-expected the deal on mine to evaporate due to the delay of my transferring money and him going on a business trip.
