Default Almost killed my baby last night....

Driving home to my parents house last night and it had been raining. I was at a traffic light and was turning left. I guess I gave the car too much gas and my car started to spin out. I countered right and then my car started to go right. Finally I countered left again and gained control. Thank goodness no one was in the lane next to me. My tires are almost new--I think I just gave it too much gas and the road was pretty slick--not to mention it was about 35 outside.

Any tips on what to do next time? Obviously dont gas it as much, but what I mean is if I'm in the situation where my car starts to spin out. Thanks.

Basically what u did was hydoplate a lil bit. U cant really control Rain even with great tires it just helps. If you spin out best thing to do is brace urself and do ur best !

Rain = Bad Traction

Rain + colder surface (under 45 degrees) = horrible traction

remember these!

1) When in doubt, both feet out!

2) When in a spin, both feet in!

Maybe I'm not smart--please explain what that means.

Apply the brake and the clutch when in a spin. Both feet 'in'to the pedals.

You might be reading this in other threads here today but to be clear - 35 degrees is too cold for SO2/SO3 and other Max Performance tires
