Also what are the age of the tires? After only a couple years the rubber compounds tend to lose grip and the first place to notice will be in the wet. I bought a car with those tires, not an S2000, and they seemed to provide lots of grip when new.

Well a couple weeks ago i was testing my cars limits, i guess you could say i was doing a skid pad test. Anyways my rear finally gave out but it was a very tight turn and now i think its time for new tires because i have life no tread left. I have never bought tires for my S yet so im gonna go do a search on some good tires.

Star specs will give you the best combo of life and traction. Only thing is they have an exclusive agreement with tirerack. Sometimes you can get Discount tire to order them for you, but I think they just order them from tirerack.

I would say tires are partially to blame, but most of it is just the fact that rain + tail happy car (S2000) = trouble.

Take it easy in the rain! Come on...

Yeah thanks for the advice, bought my car off a dealer, I mean the tires seem basically brand new? A lot of tread left, but I don't really trust em, which tires r good? That's not too pricey

Crap tires are crap tires no matter if they're new or used. Try Hankook RS3 or Dunlop Star Specs. But you have to learn that you still can't do 30mph 90* right turn in the wet or dry and not have the backend break out.

you've got crap tires and your driving on wet roads like a bozo, the only thing to blame is yourself.

I have had these tires on for about a month now and I like them in the rain and I get good traction when its dry.
I don't track my car but I do drive it hard in the mountains and these are cheap and give me good traction. They are not the best tire if you plan to track your car but for the price they are hard to beat.

I run 225's up front and 255's out back. If I could get the 275/40-17(same brand) to fit out back that is what I would run but I don't want to have to cut the car up to make these big tires fit. The 255's fit with no problems at all(no rubbing).

If you were running the most expensive tires money could buy, you are still going to fishtail in the rain if driving agressive. Water+ throttle = fishtail. If you wanna play in the rain better get some thing with all wheel drive.
