I wouldn't think a mere 3 runs each would show much of anything since you are going to be learning how to launch at the same time. I would imagine the variation in your runs will be pretty extreme.

 

Thanks for the heads up. It's been a while, but I've done lots of drag racing and have been relatively consistent on launches. From what I'm reading I'm going to go at about 6K. I know I may not get the best time possible for my car, but I should be able to get a good comparison with the same launches after mods. I will go to the same place with temperature and road conditions the same (in So Cal that's possible). I'm not trying to break a drag record, just compare before/after. I know it won't be perfect, but I think it will be good enough for my information. I will mostly rely on 0-60 results because there are less variables (shifts) on that run.

agreed...6k usually results in bog after wheelspin.

 

Thanks guys for pointing that out to me. I will reconsider that launch rpm.
