Well it's that time to buy a new S2000. Been looking forward to this for a while. Let me run down the price figures and see if I'm missing something. Thanks for any feedback.

What's a fair profit for a dealer on this car?
I agree, dealers all know they don't make a ton on new cars. Used markup is MUCH better. You can usually talk them to around $500-750 markup if you're lucky. Salesmen are making very little commission on new vehicles.
My happy range is 3-4% profit on dealer invoice - they get a Honda hold back of about 3% so the two are about a 6-7% total profit. Add tax, lic, and delivery fee and you have a price of around 31380.24 plus TT&L. Anything less is a bonus for you!

I'm not suggesting that you give away thousands of dollars unneccesarily, but three years from now if you are still obsessing over "those guys made me pay $275 more than was fair" then you have psychological issues.
