I know that many people here feel like American Honda doesn't care much for the enthusiasts who own their cars and organize clubs. They haven't given the S2000 community much support in the past. I was VERY surprised to hear that they will be on hand at Sac2KDays II (our huge national meet in May...see my sig for details). Not only are they helping sponsor the event; they will also have officials from American Honda on hand, and they are also raffling off some prizes. Among them will be a $500 gift certificate toward any Honda product for the S2000. Sweet!! Just wanted to let you all know American Honda is not the big, bad monster we thought they were. Thank you, AHM!!

Wow, I'm very happy to hear that. Tell us how you pulled it off.

Blair Morrow, our Sacramento Community Organizer, works at Elk Grove Honda. Elk Grove Honda is going all-out to make this event a huge success, and the owner of the dealership (Maggie Tadlock) somehow got AHM to commit to sponsoring the event and sending some bigwigs. I don't know how she did it, but I'm not complaining!!

Keep in mind that every event they sponser or attend cost money. There is only one way to offset those additional costs, and that is to add to the MSRP.

Or maybe the MSRP has already covered the cost of them attending.

They have marketing, advertising, and promotional budgets to pay for events like this. They do not raise the price of a car to offset it.

Very good news. Hopefully, they will see the value in doing more.
