AMSOIL in the S2000?
How may miles do you have on your S2000? I had talked about AMSOIL synthetic before, but someone made fun of me by comparing AMSOIL with AMWAY??
I would not considering put in synthetic oil until at least over 7,500 miles on the car.

I am still using "dinosaur" oil in my S2000, but on the next change I plan on switching to AmsOil. I used it in my two previous cars, both of which saw pretty heavy duty cold weather and autoXing duties and neither of which experienced any problems with leakage, internal engine failure... The reason I selected Amsoil in the first place was that in a review of motor oils about three years ago Amsoil came out ahead of the others, BUT admittedly all of the premium oils and synthetics in the test were so good as to support using any API certified oil.
By the way, I just put in my S2K at 7400 miles... and from another post, I wrote:
"Going back to my '89 Accord, I've always used Amsoil.... In the scheme of things, they are probably #2, behind Redline, for synthetics... You can get it for about $4 a quart... The problem is they have never been marketed like Redline, Castrol, Mobil, etc. so many people are not familiar with them... But I echo other people's opinion on this thread.... a great runner-up to Redline.
(also use Amsoil in my 2 Honda lawnmowers, my Integra, and my Accord, which I sold with 189,000 miles with no evidence whatsoever of engine strain or degraded performance...)"

Not the oil but the filter I do. After much investigation, I came to the conclusion that the Amsoil filter was the best one shown by tests of third parties. I plan to use Mobil1 after my next oil change.
I have been using AMSoil for my engine since it was originally imported from Cali, NOW Currently in Calgary, Alberta.
I've then switched to Mobil 1 synthetic, I immediately noticed a difference in power delivery of the engine.
After driving for a few hundred miles, I really wanted to remove the Mobil 1, afterdoing so, I am putting back in the AMSOIL and it's going to make the difference again. I'm never using Mobil 1 for my engine again.
