In 1965, I was a young driver, racing a Lotus 20 Formula Junior. A rather special lady used to loan her S600 to me. As you can imagine, to even know such a car existed in 1965 made her a rather unique lady, but to own one made her very special. Almost as special as the car.
Small & light as was the Lotus racing car, you put it on, rather than got in to it, & with a nice gearbox, & that gem of an engine, that revved higher than my Cosworth racing engine, there was nothing on the road that even approached then for fun. In the day they were almost as special as the 2000 is today.

Not to hijack but in the early 70s my roommates' girl friend had a little FWD Honda hatchback (600?).
We picked up the rear and moved it a few times..
Most memorable was the time the three of us were in it on the highway and after 3 minutes of acceleration we topped out a 70 MPH
