Default S2000 Drag Racing

I decided to go to Shakespeare County Raceway today to see what the S could do up the strip. I know this isnt what the S was built for but ive enjoyed racing my previous cars for years so thought id see what she could do. My best time was 14.742 @ 95.82mph. I raced against a Ferrari 308. Mitsubishi Colt, Toyota pickup, Nissan 200SX, grass racing buggy and a proper drag car.

Looks like fun

Any mods?

What was your reaction time, terminal etc?

14.7 seems to be a little on the slow side, did you dump the clutch a highish revs?

^ Saying this I'm one to talk i havent went to a proper dragstrip , i have tried launches in the past but i dont bother due to wear/tear and possible damage.

ASM single exhaust, 5zigen manifold, Spoon filter. So not very modified. My best reaction was .509. 95.95mph was my best terminal. Dumped the clutch at 4k. Tried various revs but only did 6 runs. Not much damage can be done unless your really silly. I was expecting about this time. Track was not that grippy and there was a head wind !! Excuses, excuses !!!

Cool, you'd still benefit from a tune IMHO - i have all bolt ons' and gears (which will help at lot with 1/4miles etc).

Still

Yeah if wanted to do this sort of thing more regularly and more seriously i would invest in gears and maybe some ECU work but i will only go as a bit of fun and have spent way to much money over the years chasing times ! Good fun though and some "interesting" vehicles there.

Yeah i guess at these places there are always some monster, there was a guy at my mates place a few week ago who owns a 502bhp corsa it was leaving behind 95% of cars there.
