IT people have to have cool cars.
IT people and car enthusiasts are two entirely separate groups. There is some overlap but being in IT doesn't automatically make you a car person or a car tech enthusiast. Most of my coworkers have trucks or SUV's.
I shall caveat my original post -

Cool IT people have to have cool cars

Out of the IT people I know -

STI, NSX, ITR, WRX, Evo, Lightning, Elise, and a few others.

Some people I work with are like 40+ and have kids so their cars are not what I'd consider cool.

I hope I'm never that guy. I was just talking to a coworker about how when I have kids, I want to pick them up from school in a cool car haha.

3 of the 4 IT guys that work in my hotel had nice cars. A S2K, 350Z, and a GTI hatch.

I work for an IT security firm, and even do programming as part of my day job, even though I'm an accountant there.

If there was one popular car, it's the Infiniti G...though it's management types that have them.

The IT people all have beige cars or just pieces of crap in general.

But I'm bias.

You can put the civic on every list and it would be correct.
