Default another ebay race S2000....

it has a certificate of destruction, so it cannot be made into a legally street driven car. Very similar to mine......

Why would they give it this certificate? Does it have to be totaled or something? I'm not familiar with Florida vehicle laws.

Strange

I think florida is one of the few states that doesn't let people "reconstruct" cars into street going vehicles..... once it is considered "totaled" it is done..... I think lots of times when people slap them back together they end up with a sideways car that has way less crash worthiness than it originally did.

My car was on fire (just the seats, roof, trunk and hood..not engine, dash, etc....)in florida and they gave it a cert of destruction.

It doesn't say if there is anything wrong with the engine or not.

my car i think must have looked awful...i bought it from a used car dealer after he had it repainted (MAACO) so it looked "OK".....but my airbags were in tact, it runs, drives, etc.....just no title.... i put air-shocks on it and rip around dirt roads like the "DUKES of Hazzard".

If the cost of repair is 80% of the cars worth, it will be considered a total loss. No matter how small the damage, the cost is what kills it.
