Default another leasing buying question

I've had an 01 S2k since march 01 and put down a deposit on an 06 two weeks ago...
it will be coming in at the end of the week. A little dilema
is that I agreed on a price of 31500 but now before i really sign the bottom line I
saw today that Honda is repeating the 299 lease deal.My question is, does the dealer
still make out so that he doesn't give me a hard time about my change to the lease
plan?

thanks-stew

you have every right to change your mind.

the dealer gets a pretty decent amount from honda for each lease they do. They would rather move a car than cancel the deal.

Just curious. Do you have your traditional financing yet? If so, what's your rate?

I'm not a leasing expert, but when you consider how much you have to put down for cap cost reduction, I just wonder if it is a good deal.

My rate was from AHFC , 5.9 over 5 years.I guess for me the lease deal
is oppurtunity to keep the money i need and get the car I want.I was just
curious to know the difference in the deal for the dealer.Whether 31,500
or the lease deal sounds better to the dealer or is it about the same?

thanks again-stew

I would give those lease terms a really deep look, and compare it to your driving habits.

This is a car that you are going to enjoy driving. I am, and I am driving it a lot!

Just a caution to check out those miles overage and other penalties. Also, these cars are expensive to insure. Double check that the lease terms won't force you into even higher insurance coverage options.

Car dealers love leases for a lot of reasons. Don't forget that!
