Another oil question
Honda dealer filled my car with Quaker State synthetic oil. Is it OK to top off with Mobile 1 synthetic? I did a search on this and the results were a little ambiguous so I thought I'd just post the question. Thanks.
Depends on your point of view. I would have thought that it would be fine to leave it as is, but I would think that most people will advise you to drain it and replace with a better quality. In terms of the cost of diong it, you are probably best doing the change IMHO.

Not being a smartass, but why? The two oils should be of the same rating. As far as my experience goes, you can mix non-synthetic with synthetic; one brand with any other brand; even different viscosities, so long as the "rating" (SF, SG, SH, whatever) is the same.
