I already did a search, but not quite happy w/ the results. I purchased a set of Volk GT-7's and want to get a shock/spring combo. For the most part, there seems to be a "consensus" if you will on what shock to get- Koni Yellows. Springs on the other hand, not that simple. I know the Eibach's lower 1" F/R...does anyone have eibach's w/ koni yellows w/ 18" wheels?? Also, kg/mm makes some pretty good stuff (at least that is what I hear), but the drop on the supersports is only 15mm (or ~2/3")...I know a lot of you have this set-up, but do they settle?? Then, to really complicate things, HKS makes a nice sport spring that drops a little over 1" F/R..

Basically, I'm under the impression that as long as I don't drop the car more than 1.25", I won't have any rubbing issues. Is this true??

I want a spring that won't settle too much w/ time, that won't rub my wheels, and one that will kill the wheel gap. I hear these are all good springs, so performance is "probably" (don't kill me for saying that) about the same.

KG/MM Race Springs

 

I think the kg/mm race springs will be too low and result in tire rubbing, that's why I was looking at the Supersports.

I know absolutely nothing about Espelir Active Super Down...are these springs or coilovers?

 

I have Eibach's with 18's and rub fairly often, especially with a passenger riding. The ride is pretty harsh too. I'm wondering what I can go to soften it up some.

Ok, well...the ride is WAY stiff as it is, so I'm confused on why the springs are too soft? Any advice on what to do?

 

Rubbing is due to the offsets of your rims not the drop. Try using the KG/MM supersports on the lower pearch of the konis. That should give you approx a 1.1" drop.

 

The problem has more to do with the offset of the wheels than the lowering height. If the offsets are off, you'll rub on stock suspension not to mentioned lowered. Mind you, when you do lower, the camber will adjust slightly which in some cases, can help. Point being, make sure your offsets are as close to stock as possible. If they're off, you'll rub wether you're lowered or not.
