Another spring question....sorry
brutewes, sorry, i should have clarified......
in my PAST experiences, i always found that Eibach was generally a softer spring than most other brands.
of course the "rubbing" is a function of the wheel offsets as well (since they are the things that actually rub).....
in cars that rubbed, the rubbing always went away after i switched to a firmer spring (but kept the same wheels).
what are the offsets of your wheels??
what shocks are you using??

The wheel offsets on the Volks are +50 F/R...the wheels are 18 x 7.5 F, 18 x 8R.
The tires are Yokohama AVS ES100 255/35/18 rear, and 225/40/18 front. Someone has to be running a similar offset wheel and tire combo that is lowered with no rubbing....C'mon, let's hear from you!

i would seriously look into a set of good coilovers. Not the crazy expensive kind, but there are some non-adjustable damper kits out there that lets you adjust the ride height. As far as im concerned thast really all you need for a street car. The more options you have, the more chances you have to screw it up. And this way you can GURANTEE you wont rub. I think you can find some for pretty descent prices too.
I can't find the offset of the wheels. Im running stock shocks.
I bought Eibach's because I had them on my civic and loved them, plus I didn't want over an inch drop and everyone said the ride was like factory. Well the drop is great, but the ride sucks. Its very rough, and I would just like to correct it if I can somehow. The rubbing doesn't bother me as much as the ride.

t's definately the +50 offset in the rear that's your problem. For 255 tires to fit (even the slimmer AVS AS100's), you'd need as close to +60 as possible (if not more). You can try adjusting your camber more (unfortunately will result in greater tire wear) which will help tuck the tires in, or you'll have to do some fender modding. In either case, there's not really anything that's you can do to completely eliminate rubbing with your 18's.

Hi, if you have any questions regarding offsets of Volk wheels or tire/suspension set up. Feel free to give me a ring at the shop and I'll help you answer all of your questions. I do this on a daily basis
