Another Toy for MY06
Hey guys,
I was just surfing around our forums and I was on the thread about X-Braces, and there was a link in there for "Science of Speed"... so I went in there to check out what they gave and I saw this...
http://www.scienceofspeed.com/products/eng...hrottle%5Fbody/
Now I don't know if they make much benefit and it doesn't seem to have the size of the inlet, but it looks like a nice piece.
And if anyone understands the whole shipping thing for the 06, please clarify cause I'm not sure what they mean.

On pre-'06 S2000s, big throttle bodies have been noted to do very little to nothing. Don't know about the '06. That's a lot of money for something that "looks like a nice piece". Mind you, people put all kinds of stuff "that look like a nice piece" and they do absolutely nothing, but if that's how you like it, what the heck.

There's a chance you'll need to mess with the drive by wire system to get it working properly after as well.
And now why would they want us to mail in our stock throttle body for a new one? Is that an option for some sort of discount on the new one?

245/275 is pretty pricey for a bore job -- the 4/5hp gain on a NA S2000 is inflated (or maybe he's talking about putting this into a J's engine
)
Also, it mentioned that it's tapered on the edge. I'm not sure if it's tapered to leave the side that connects to the intake manifold the same diameter; if it's not, you'd end up paying more to port match your intake manifold to really make use of the bigger bore ...

Id have to disagree m8 , the 70mm TB's do make a difference small as it maybe but the new V2 Venturi TB from spoon makes a lot of diff to both low end and above 6k is noticeably stronger and kicks off again at 8 k

Sorry, but I believe what actual users have posted here and the results were "un-inspiring".Oh, BTW, have you seen the "ADS" for the grounding kits and voltage stabilizer kits?

ps.
