don't use loctite. They might damage more when they try to remove it. An aftermarket antenna is $15 - I'd rather just still that than get pissed off and key my car b/c they coudln't take out the antenna.
And use Loctite purple, it's less strength than the blue.

purple will still prevent casual thieves. Blue, if application is too liberal, will be VERY hard to remove (I say at least you need pliers) -- so take care, use just a little bit with blue.
Or do what I did - use the UGLY stock antenna from a 2001 Golf - no one will want to steal that.
