Default Any Accessory Out There For 2004 Center Console?

I am losing my frigging mind!

If I knew the guy that designed the sadistic center console of the MY04 S2000 I would kick him in the nuts. Seriously.

I was hoping Rick would come up with something but I have not seen any real new products on his site...has your love for the S waned Rick?!

Anyways, is there a company or person out there making a real cupholder that can slide into the center console?

Or does anyone have a suggestion on how I would make one? Despite the fact I have zero talent in such things I am hoping my desperation will aid me.

Thanks in advance!

BTW: New site rocks!

for me there is no logic in keeping a drink in the 'cup holder' - it suffices for storage only on my 04 S...

with that said another S owner turned me on to the bike bottle cage on the passenger side of the trans hump - the rearward screw for the small fishnet storage bag is a perfect position for a bicylce bottle cage - easy to reach - out of the way of shifting and not in the way of any passenger either -

no pics avaialbe as i am away from my S for a few days perhaps if needed I can post in about a week...

The logic being:

I buy a drink therefore I need a place to hold it. Thus, the cup-holder!

Anyways, I like the idea for the cage, but that is only good for holding a particular kind of container. I need something to hold top-drawer beverages from the finest of restaurants: i.e. McDonald's , Taco Bell, KFC...

kmart - has a stainless cage with an adjustable strap - actually looks good with the 04 interior accents - that will hold beverages running the entire gamut - starbucks, evian sport bottles, sevum up from kfc, coke or is it pepsi from bk, and whatever they sell at wendy's...

Having a centre storage console on the 04 is better than none found on the previous years. I wouldn't put a drink in place but it's definitely well added storage space in my books.

I have the same problem. I store the drink in a corner of the trunk (wound up with the car cover to keep it from spilling) until I get where ever I'm going. If I'm going to be driving for a long time, I buy only drinks with caps, like the 20oz bottle, so I can wedge it under the seat when I'm not drinking.

The idea of storing a drink in the center console, obstructing my shifting arm, seemed way too dangerous for me to even consider. I agree that some kind of holder mounted to the right of the transmission tunnel is the way to go.
