Any News on the Next S2K?
Ok, so we all know that the s2k is one of the longest running models, if not THE longest running model, made by Honda without a bodystyle remodel. And, that Honda is traditionally very tightlipped about upcoming releases, presumably so they don't soften the sales of the current models.
That all being said, has anyone heard, seen or otherwise learned any info regarding whether (I sure HOPE) Honda will revise the s2k, and, if so, any details on the car?????
Dying to know!

Yep, still a 2.2L, but now a 14,000 rpm redline and 500 hp!! It weighs 2200lbs and has Honda's version of DSG. It's SUPER fast and looks great too!

In all seriousness... This is discussed nearly every day. We don't know. It's safe to assume it remains largely unchanged for '09.

Not that this means anything at all but during the Homecoming event at Honda last summer one of the employees told a group of us to look for something new in 2010. He didn't give any specifics but he did emphasize "new design." We'll see.

After 10 years and slowing sales, the S2K as we know it has probably run its course.
The thought process may be "well, whoever wanted an S2k has already bought one."
I would not be surprised to see a new 2 seater convertible based on the K20 engine used in the Civic Si, designed to be more accessible to a broader customer base and with lower pricepoint aimed more towards the Miata. Probably built in Marysville.
Even though it has a 2 liter engine, they better not call it an S2000.
That would leave the Suzuka plant open to build the "next NSX".

nobody knows for sure. Pretty much everything people say is specualtion and he says she says kinds of things. I dont expect to be seeing the s2000 as we have come to know it for much longer though.

I stopped thinking about that since the first day I got my S2000. Because I'm happy that I have one. If a new and "better" one comes out? Okay, I might buy it. If not? At least I still have mine
