Default any one have NRG hood dampers

Are these just as good as the Tein hood dampers?

How is the fitment? Any rubbing issues?

They are basically the same as the Tein, only thing different is the color, and it lifts the hood almost 90%.

Same thing with the engine damper...all made by one company. The only difference between the NRG/SPOON compared to the J's is that the NRG and the Spoon's ETD bracket dosn't have an extra mount for the fuse box to mount to once you remove that mounting tab.

Tein dosn't make a ETD to my undestanding..they made a Hood dampner but not an Engine one.

And like I mentioned above...the NRG and Teign hood dampers are the same thing...most likely made by the same place. The onyl difference is the color and the NRG damper lifts the hood 90 degrees up..while the Tein raises the hood to about what the stock hood props would lift the hood.

I have the NRG hood dampers, no rubbing, and great fitment too. So much easier to access the engine when the hood is nearly vertical.

I bought some Teins on the FS forum and put them on to check fitment. And as mentioned above, the difference is the NRG lift the hood higher (I saw them installed on a car at a meet). The Teins are really stiffly valved (I noticed before installed), but I don't know how that compares to the NRG. I took mine out to sell them so I can use the money for an Intake.

NRG = comes in different colors, lifts hood almost perpendicular to the front of the car

Tein = only comes in green (IIRC), and doesn't lift the hood as high as NRG dampers

Send Sam (S2X) a PM if you want NRG dampers.
