The only time I've had to ship a car I used Passport Transport. Everything worked perfect with them, no issues at all.

I’ve used Reliable Carriers shipping from WA To MI. First class operation all the way. They have a warehouse in Canton, and can hold your car temporarily if needed.

Regardless of the carrier it can get complicated depending on if you're there to load and unload (or supervise) the car. Infamous case here a year or two ago where a guy flew to California, bought a car, and depended on the previous owner/dealer to handle the shipping. When it was unloaded on the east coast there were vital items missing that had been apparently retained by the previous owner. Not a happy move or purchase.

In my own case I was moving and wanted a closed trailer on a specific weekend. Took a while to arrange via a broker. I loaded the car on a Friday morning, dragged my travel trailer from Cleveland to Richmond, and unloaded the S2000 Saturday afternoon. All worked out. But I was there at both ends.

Quick and easy way is to hook a UHaul car trailer up to your SUV or pickup and move the car yourself. The trailer is inexpensive. Your time and fuel expenses are not much more.

I am sure you have your reason(s) for shipping. You may have already considered flying to Texas and driving it back home. Just another option, that is how I got mine home.

Best to you!

Transporting a car north to south or vice versa is the tough part, most carriers run east to west it seems like. I have used reliable carriers in the past and it was flawless but pricey.

I've shipped cars twice. Go with a reputable shipper...don't go with the lowest cost outfit. If possible, be there when the car is both picked up by the shipper as well as delivered to you.

I used Reliable Carriers to ship from MN to FL.
They showed up in a blizzard to get the car going on time.
They were good to work with despite damaging my side diffuser which they eventually paid to replace.
If memory serves me right I think I paid 1200 for 1 way...
