Tamiya makes a rear wheel drive S2000 and M-roadster for about $100 it's a blast to race 5 or 6 cars together.

I have a gas powered on-road RC (Nitro RS4).

I'm no good at racing it...I just built it for fun.

They have a S2000 body...but I'm using the R34 Skyline body.

Back when I used to race, I'd get a lot of stuff from Tower Hobbies. I see they now have a web site.

http://www.towerhobbies.com

They're geared more towards the newbies and list all the stuff you need other than the kit.

I've got the Tamiya 1:10 S2000 R/C kit. It was a lot of fun to put together, but I still haven't painted the body.

I bought it mostly for fun, but I didn't realize that these things only run for at most 5 minutes on a charge and it takes 4 hours to recharge the battery!

TFota,

That's why you buy a nitro powered RC!

I hate recharging.

Humanatek,

RS4
The RS4 kit cost me $200. Includes the whole car with stuff like...

- .12 nitro engine
- 4wdr
- front/rear differentials
- body (R34 Skyline)

It goes about 40 MPH.

RS4 2
But now they released a RS4 2 ($250), which adds

- lightwieght aluminum chasis
- .15 engine
- tuned engine
- other misc. upgrades

I think the .15 engine bumped up the top speed to 45 MPH?

Details
Check out the HPI site for more details (www.hpiracing.com).

You also need these items for the RC.
- Nitro (methane)
- Decent remote for the car ($80 - infinity)

I just built one on a Tamiya Chassis, with the RC Nitro body. Too bad I suck at the painting and trimming, Still fun to rip around though. It's all I got till the snow melts!
