Default any unseen mechanical changes from 2000 to 2002?

I know of the obvious changes from the 2000 model year to the 2002 model year like colors, speakers, interior, glass rear window... My questions is have there been any unseen or mechanical changes to the car? in particular to the know trouble spots: Have these issues been addressed? If so, where do you find this information? I know Honda wouldn't publicize these changes (on there web site or in brochures)
1-2 gear grind?
#4 cylinder?
I heard some 2000 model years have cracked leather?
Oil consumption?

These issues are making me as a future owner very uneasy.
THANKS for your feedback.
Mark

in Hong Kong...all 2002 S2000s use the same suspenson setup.

which means in HK, 2002 S2000 normal one will use the same firmer set up as the Type-V.

before 2002 Type-V's suspension setup are always firmer than normal one.

but I think US S2000 didn't change anything on suspension, but not sure. I kinda feel my 02 are firmer than my 00.

Yeah, give the shocks on your '02 some time to soften a little.
