They better... Look at the NSX. Good things don't last for ever. Its the same reason The Smashing Pumpkins and Celine Deon (sp?) cut out early in thier careers.

I think it's better for Honda to lay S2000 to rest and make it a legend/classic rather than let it age into obscurity.

The news was explained to me by the dealer. Honda is bringing back the Prelude in 07. I have heard a story not from dealer that Europe is preventing the S2k from entering there so Honda is ending the line. Again, don't know if it is true? Doesn't matter, I have mine and am loving it. Die Hard Honda owner forever! No one really addressed the issue as to the price of the car going up?

I'm suprized that Honda would make all the changes to the '06 just to phase it out the next year, but who knows? But to be honest, I didn't think they'd last as long as they have. Glad I have an '03!

rjortiz, WHAT? I CAN"T HEAR YOU!!!! ;-)

Remember that the S2000 was intended to be a car that commemorates the 50th anniversary of Honda. That being said, I am doubtful that it will be redesigned or produced after 2007. They freshened it in 04, kept it the same in 05, will refresh again in 06, keep it the same in 07, then cut it off. it's not exactly a cash cow for Honda. They don't even advertise it... it's more of an image car, like the NSX was.

I hope they don't make another S2000 so it will turn into a true legend. This is a great car... It does not look or feel dated in any capacity (to me, at least).

Oh god dont let it age poorly like the NSX its older brother. IMO honda should have upped the hp about 5-10 every update EG: 02= 250hp 04 260 hp 06 270hp. Its not that impossible to produce more power out of the f20c. Its even easier if they could add I-vtec to it. That way with slight changes to the exteriro at least it stays healthy and fresh. Its been 7 years since it came out and it still has the same hp and only 8 lbft more tq. Honda is great at introducing a new car but it fu*king sucks ass at making it better.

The new nsx coming out 2007-2009 with a v10, to compete with the lexus LF-A which is coming out around that time, also with a v10, and both will be competing with the skyline, which in gt-r is set to come out in US in 2007
