any of you guys know the price on the 2002 convetible (glass, instead of plastic rear) swap

i've been considering this also, i've got prices from the dealership of about $800+ for the 2002 soft top with the glass window, then you will need some elastic straps to make it close properly, which you will have to custom make.

i also got a qoute on how much my local dealer would charge for installation, and it was over $1000, but i think i will be doing it myself...

I traded a used HKS exhaust for a 02 top and frame. I installed it myself. I had $500 invested in the exhaust, sold my 00 soft top and frame for $350 and paid $100 for shipping. Total cost $250

If you install yourself and you buy from Hardtopguy it will cost about $920 for parts/shipping plus any tools you might need to buy. If you sell your old plastic top, subtract off that amount. Also it will cost you time to do the install.
