Default anybody leave their s2000 outside in the rain?

basically what the title says... for all of you that leave their s2000's in the rain, does the soft top provide adequate protection with absolutely no leaks or tears over time? i just want to know how durable and good the soft top actually is or if its worth getting the hardtop (which is kind of ugly in my opinion) need input thanks

I do, that's the only place I can keep my s2000. It doesn't rain very much here though, and when it does every year like once or twice it's not that hard.

Of course it does, if your top is in good condition. Do you think Honda would allow it to leak?

I've had my S for about a year and it sits outside most of the year. It's been raining for two weeks straight and the rubber seal at the top of the passenger window became filled with water. So, it was leaking a small amount of water into the cabin, but not much. I'm going to the dealer to get this seal looked at soon.

I have to keep my car outside all the time. Just buy a good all season car cover to protect it against the sun and rain.

Make sure you grease the rubber seals every couple months. Honda sells a grease called Shin-Etsu for this purpose. Wipe it onto all the rubber bits with a towel, let it sit for 30 minutes, then wipe off the excess.

Keeping the seals soft will help stop leaks. (Helps for wind noise too).

Good luck trying to fix it. I've brought it the dealer twice, and they've replaced the seals, etc... and in heavy rain, I'll get a little water. Not too much to really be down on it, but water none-the-less.

I leave my car outside all year round with no problems.
