Has anybody ordered these from Rick and if so, how long did it take you to get them? Its been a month and a half almost for me and I still havnt recieved a thing... is it suppose to take this long? They told me it was gonna be in anytime last week and well, the week just passed. Any other experiences with the sidemarkers?

 

i ordered mine 6 weeks ago, and still haven't gotten them. i will say that rick has kept in touch with me, and while i am upset not to have them, i appreciate that his supplier is the problem. i keep prodding him to comp me a 4.56 final drive to make up for it ... but i don't think it is going to happen! rick, if you are listening .... think of how great the s2ki community will think of you if you comp a patient customer with some 4.56's !!!!

Sometimes things are a bit slow going with Rick's but they'll always deliver. Just keep in mind that this is not a full time gig for them, they have normal jobs on top of this.

 

I've heard nothing but good about Rick's, although I haven't ordered from him. I will say that I bought a set of clear sidemakers from F1 sport on ebay. They were excellent to deal with. Very easy checkout system and they arrived within a few days, no problem. I believe they came out to about $27 shipped. You might give them a try.

 

I ordered mine about two months ago and I got them in about a week. I think they must be harder to get now because I know for the last few weeks it says "coming soon" on the JDM sidemarkers. By the way, the caliper swap was one of the best things I could have done. Rick has done a great job with these...the Honda dealer that I was crazy but they all said that they (RED Ones!!) look really good and they were impressed with the quality. Bad part is that it cost me about $330 for the swap and $340 to put them on. But they look damn good, the wife even likes em.

 

Yes, I know Rick's is very reliable and this is his side job really but I was just wondering if anybody else has gotten theirs recently. A month and a half seems kind of long but oh well, its not a priority for me right now. Thanks guys!

 

Mine took just over 2 weeks to receive from Rick's (ordered them in late Aug '03). They took the extra effort to ship my Futomo Oil Drain Valve right away, so I wasn't too worried that the sidemarkers were running late.

I guess it goes without saying, but avoid the "JDM-like" sidemarkers advertised on places like eBay. I naively bought a set off of eBay only to find that the they didn't fit well at all. There was like an 1/8" gap on one side and didn't seat right. Go for the real JDM sidemarkers, they look and fit great. Plus, the price is great too.

bought lots of stuff from Rick's and ordered diffusers for my customers with no problems everything has always arrived with no problems

 

Just got the following email from Ricks:
Fellow S2000 Owner:

I have bad news. Our supplier now tells us that the sidemarkers and
turn
signal sockets have not shipped and will no longer be available through
him.
I am sorry that he deceived us about shipment, and I apologize for
misleading you in my earlier messages.

I will be mailing you a refund check for the markers and/or sockets over
the
next day or two.

Again, my apologies.

We are looking for other sources, but we will not be selling these items
again until we find a reliable source in Japan.
