<---- Owner, not enthusiast. I've put in my VIN 3 times now.

I just finished "clearing" my headlamps last night and happened to see a Ferrari challenge event on Speed today. I noticed that all the F360's now come with a body matched inner headlamp assembly. Has anyone tried this on their S? If I had thought of it two days ago it would have been done that way. The black plastic inner assembly could easily be primed, painted, cleared, and wet sanded. My only concern would be the paint life next to the 275+ degree HID's.

I think it would look great with Sebring Silver, Silverstone, and Spa Yellow. Just an idea...I won't be going through that ordeal again, but someone should try it.

one of our S2000 member had done it to his Silver S2000; Front and back, he painted the black area (I think it was a year ago?)

biker1 over here in the UK has colour coded both his front and rear light clusters (amongst other things), the rears are a real PITA to do apparently. If you do an advanced search in the UK Forum you should turn them up. His car is MC blue too so they look quite stunning.

Thanks 850. Those were the photos I was looking for. I wish I had done it the same way. I probably will do the rears... Also found APC LED running lamp bulbs today that are clear when dim and light amber. I should have done much more research before tearing apart the front of my baby.

I did it on my S2000. I happened to find someone on ebay selling cleared headlights color matched to my silverstone. It looks very nice.

ive painted many CL/TL/RSX lights body color or just other colored...

its not such a difficult process. i will gladly do it for you or tell you how to do it yourself...

the paint will last just fine next to the heat.

i think it looks better then black lights.

and btw... the 360 has always had body oclored lights. the new 575M has them as well... as do any new and upcoming ferraris actually.
