I was thinking of adding a little juice to my MY06.

I didnt want to go the turbo route, I just dont want all the BS and headache that comes along with it (tried it on my previous 05 IS300, and ended up uninstalling it and selling it). Plus I have an EVO I use as a DD, so my turbo craving is already fulfilled

I was thinking the 4.56 gears and the Hondata reflash would be a pretty nice combo. VTEC starts earlier, ends later, and throughout, you will be revving faster.

If you are looking into the 2nd stage Hondata reflash, why do they only require the Toda header?? Why not an Invidia or something cheaper. I just wouldn't pay well over $1k for a header. Will other headers work with the 2nd stage reflash?

Wow, just looked through the Hondata website and the reflash looks completely useless to me. Gain a little power from 5400-6200rpms, otherwise nothing...

In a race between a Hondata reflashed S2000 and a stock S2000 w/ the spare tire removed I'd put my money on the car w/o the spare tire.

Also notice that header dyno has a testpipe along with the header. That's where the gains came from.

 

No one has tried this combo on their 06? Gears and Reflash???

 

I'm trying to find a vendor for the reflash right now. It's not as easy as it seems.
