with all the statements above concerning snap oversteer, but it wouldnt take THAT much money to turn the S into a drift car in terms of pure suspension mods. The s2000 comes from the factory bound up grip wise from front to rear. In order to unbind the rear, find springs that arent as stiff and get some adjustable shocks and set them to full soft. That will solve a lot of the snap oversteer problems, and if you want to take it even further, bind up the front end of the chassis more by putting front sway bar, tower bar, etc on there...it will just transfer the energy to the rear of the car and you will have a pretty good drift car. But as stated before, the powerband is the tricky part, and for the S i would rather choose a supercharger over a turbo when thinking of drifting. You would get instant boost rather than having to wait on the turbo to spool up, but thats just personal preference. My team mate/x-racing instructor(when i was 13-16 yrs old) is flying out to Homestead, Florida to test drift cars, and if the tests go well they will be flying him out to Japan for him to compete against the big boys. I myself choose racing on a track, but have done some drifting and instructed people who are interested, and it sure is a blast!

Have fun with it!

If I recall correctly I thought I heard that the 350z and G35 are that easy to drift either because of the vcd (traction control stuff) that the Z doesn't like to drift it likes to stick, i think...

If you get the 350Z base or enthusiast model, it doesn't have the VDC, so no worries about not being able to turn off the traction control. You'll need to replace the viscous diff w/ a 2way clutch-type tho. Why not just get a 240sx for drift?...even cheaper.

maybe you can a s2000 and put on the new supercharger kit that is about to come out from brp performance. its a roots blower so it will provide low end torque which will help you drift. the power band will be much more usable
