Anyone with the driver's side window that drops 2" when dropping the top?

I've been waiting for an honest-to-goodness fix. So far, they just keep putting in the same defective motors.

Get them to order the part for this. Both times I have had mine done, I dropped by to schedule the apt, and to show them. They don't stock any S parts, and had to order it. Remember there is a slowdown on Japan to US shipments.

Yeah, actually i was by there today and gave them the controller module part # instead. Believe me, I know how SLOW honda can be with parts. guess I'll call back with the other. With the driver's window working 100% on its own switch it lead me to rule out the actuator believe a faulty convertable module. Then again i did nothing to seek out the problem.

Funny thing is if while lowering the roof if i stop and start again the driver window lowers another 2". I can keep on doing this until its all the way down.

Yes, worked like that for me, both times. I waited until it stated to rain. I needed to have a seal replaced and since they have to adjust the window when they replace the TSB part, I though it was a goot time.

The convertible top controller handles the passenger window's auto-down function only.

I was told by my dealer when I had this TSB done that it was because the rubber window seal wasn't greased up. The glass makes too much friction when the window goes up into an ungreased rubber seal and that makes the window motor strain when the window goes up into the seal and so the auto down failed... riigghhtttt!

And this was when my car was about 3 months old! LOL

Does anyone know how to make this problem occur on demand?

My 02 does it occasionally, usually after sitting for a couple of days. If you then lower the window with either the switch or the top down switch, it seems to reset it and it the problem won't appear again for another couple of days.

I want to get a hard failure to show the dealer. Any suggestions?

Don't put your window down for a few days and then go straight to the dealer and it will probably do it.
