Default Anyone else dearly miss summertime?

I haven't had my S for very long..in fact, I've only had it since the beginning of July. I had originally planned on purchasing an S in winter when prices were down, but I guess my car found me instead. I feel blessed and spoiled to have tasted those awesome times in summer when you could drive the S top down every night and it would be perfect.

Up until last week, the daytime weather was very pleasant, around 60-65 degrees and I was able to enjoy the top down. But now it's starting to go under 45 and I can't put the top down anymore. I do look forward to the snowdays, as I plan on having some fun in the parking lots, but I'm already getting depressed thinking about the summer nights and around sunset. The worst part is that winter is just getting started and we have a longgg way to go until it's top down weather again.

Those of you in the west coast and down south, I envy you guys...I guess I'm just counting down the days until next summer already..and I just mounted my new summer tires..

this wait will just make the S feel like a brand new car every summer for you.

I almost feel bad reading this... Where I am, summer is just starting to hit us! It has been a littel bit cooler then normal. we are getting around 26-28 degrees (celcius... that's how we measure it here), so unless it's raining there's no reason to ever have the top up.

Overall I can get about 9 months out of the year without it being to cold to drive topless going to work, and home from work.

Got to love living in a sub-tropical climate! But isn't that what the S was made for?

This will be my second winter in the S. I think it's been harder so far this winter than last winter because last summer I finally got some track time and I'm getting used to the limits of the car. I find that a nice way to keep your relationship with the S a little brighter through the cold months is to save all of your major maintenance and up keep for this time of the year. It gives you a reason to spend time with it without driving it on the dangerous icy roads. I've also been saving some extra money to do a few upgrades on it this winter. Its also nice living in Utah because when I crave a little adrenallin and speed, I load up the civic and head for the slopes.

Down here from Nov-May is perfect top down weather. Mostly high 70s to low 80s with extremely little rain.

The rest of the year I hate my life. 90s with 95% humidity and heavy rain/thunderstroms everyday.

I definitely miss the summer. I took a turn a little too aggressively on cold tires on a cold evening. Yada yada, I need my passenger wheels repaired

S14 to S2k you've got it easy!!!! I've had my S put away for a month and a half already! It was -35ºC here last week. It's going to be another 4.5 or 5 months until the snow melts and the S can come out again. All you've got to deal with is putting the top up, bah, I wish I could at least drive my S.

Of course there is some fun to had in winter from time to time. My WRX can get pretty sideways in the snow. Mostly though the winter is painful though and my '02 WRX is an absolute piece of garbage compared to the S. Everything about it lack when compared to the S.
