Thumbs up Anyone else ever get embarrassed with your S?

Haha idk maybe just me. Sometimes I am kind of embarrassed especially when picking a date up or something. Car is super loud(only HKS but to others is super loud). Was on a date recently and the girl kept saying why is it so loud, so low hard to get into, and telling stories how other "racer" guys would try and race her on the highway and stuff lol and asking if I made it so loud or that's how it came haha.
Just kind of feel funny in it sometimes.
Don't get me wrong I love the car and all just felt a little embarrassed.

nevar. to me it's a big plus when a girl compliments my car and i don't usually last long with the ones that don't. i find the ones that complain about stuff like that, complain too much and i hate that

mine's stock but I smell what you're stepping in. trying to park at an especially nice restaurant or something and people are looking out from inside because they hear some "obnoxious" car rumble.

Well she wasn't complaining but just kinda seemed like it was a teenager car even though it isn't. I guess just a loud big exhaust to most non car people seems kinda "racer" and all lol. I did like her brand new bimmer though. Very nice.

I dont worry about it because my Greddy SE is only loud above 5k RPM. Also my exterior is completely stock. I think I would feel slightly funny picking someone up with a vented carbon fiber hood and a roll cage.

My exterior is mostly stock. Just lowered wheels and oem rear lip spoiler but yeah if I had a big spoiler and carbon fiber all over the place would feel ridiculous lol.
Need a 2nd nice quite comfortable car I think.

Should have asked her to walk

No embarrassment, no way. If she is complaining she does not know roadsters. I dont care what you drive. Real car people never put down anothers car.

Was she complaining about post date activities as well

Q: "Why is it so low?"
A: "Because I like my cars like my girls..."

Q: "Why is it so loud"
A: "Because I like my cars like my girls..."

You get the point. It pretty much is a uniform answer.

Haha no she wasn't complaining or putting my car down but was just asking questions and kinda made me miss having a quite car lol. I still love the car and not ditching it for a long time.
Date was a success so didn't hurt anything though

A lot of your business is built around this car isn't it? Why settle with someone who will nag about something that's such a big part of your life?

It's not the car that needs to be switched on the date
