I might be buying a AP1 with 71k on it from a small mom and pop dealership. The dealership is known for selling cars that are not in the greatest condition but they sell them for cheap. Now my question is on higher milage s2k's what would you replace if you bought one. Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, water pump, oil pump, timing chain, tensioner, all fluids? What would you check on the car at the dealership. Clutch, leak down, diff?

Service customer just had her '03 S in today for service. Maintenance visits only, except for gas tank fill tube replacement. Valve cover's never been off it except for valve adjustments.
Mileage as of 7/20/07...............237,326 and counting.
Assuming a 5 day weekly commute that's over 200 miles per day, every single workday for 4 1/2 years!

Typo, he mentions a little lower down in the ad that it has 25K miles.

Yea, it's a typo, but a 2006 for 13,000?
Must be salvaged?
Or maybe a typo with the price too... More like $23,000?

Meh...

Bump for some answers to this question. I'm looking into buying a very high mileage S2K (160k) and am wondering what is likely to need to be replaced from routine usage.

I'll cross 100,000 on my way to dinner tomorrow. Big 's for every last one of them...

I got the car New Years Day, 2005 with about 25k on the clock. I've had it on the track a few times and to about 80 auto-x's. Lots of tires but no unscheduled maintenance.

Here's to 100,000 more!

The way I've been averaging mileage, I've got a little over a year till I hit 100k.

No problems as of yet either except the TCT and the CV joints which are both common problems.
