I'm about to roll over 180k in an '00 GPW. New soft top was purchased about 30k miles ago though.

I'm about to take it to get.. everything replaced/maintenanced.

102k here. I bought the car yesterday morning in New Jersey and drove it 710 miles home without incident. I LOVE the car.

We're gonna need to start a 200k thread in a few years if this keeps up.

I got a long long long way to go

MY00, original car, first owner & just hit 37K.

Need to get out more.

Not planning on selling my car, so who knows, I might just hit 100K.

Mine just got a new head (for reasons unrelated to reliability). Other than that, nothing outside normal wear parts have been replaced due to breakage. I run copper plugs and change them every oil change, change the diff fluid every oil change, and change the tranny oil every other oil change. I've changed the ignition coils once (replaced them at 105k with a pair that has 15k on them), replaced the timing chain/sprockets when I had the head off (again, for reasons unrelated to reliability), and plan on breaking down the entire engine this winter to replace all gaskets and seals.

As far as I'm concerned, if the diff/lower end decides to grenade on me, it's cheaper to replace it than buy a new car. I have a "beater" to drive around if something happens. My car is nearly 10 years old (Nov 99) and the body is still in an 8-9/10 condition I'm driving it until the body rusts off.

The car has more miles than my beater (which is 8 years old). It's just that much more fun to drive. I can get in and go 140 miles and not think twice about it.

What gets me is the guys who drive <3k miles per year in it.

This is the most reliable car I've ever owned. And it's boosted!
