Whats up guys, i'm thinking about having my AP1 repainted the same GPW color from the factory. My question is how much do you guys think this will cost at a good shop. I have a few things that would be done.

1. New front bumper painted and installed
2. Side strakes removed, holes filled
3. I would pull off the windsheid tape and the side S2000 emblems

Does anyone have any idea how much this would run me? Thanks in advance, Mike

 

In Canada it would be around $3000-5000 for a good paint job;

So I assume US would be roughly the same.

 

But also it depends on the paint, if you use House of Color or PPG paint it will cost even more...

 

well anywhere from $500 all the way to $20k.

it is about how much you want to spend

but for one you will be proud of i would go somewhere with a reputation an it should be atleast 2k

 

yeah 2k-5k sounds about right
i know when my dad repainted my sixer at his shop it cost him around 2k if not a bit more.

im sure a decent job would be 3k+
i saw a lexus RX in Brandywine Mica yesterday..and automatically thought wow that color would look great on an S.

 

get the mazadora paint

 

well i painted my car custom paint ran me about 5,000 it came out really good.

 

Last fall I paid about $1k for a OEM AP1 front bumper, installed, painted and clearbra.

 

Wait, you are not doing a full repaint? Basically just a front bumper? Probably $300-400.

 

3-400 sounds like a good deal (bc i didnt want to say cheap) in the past i usually get quoted about 500+ but i guess it just depends on the bodyshop and what they're doing plus how much is their hourly rate.
