Default Anyone ever notice this gap?

Anyone ever notice this gap? I'm not sure if it's just my car or what. But the more I look at it the more I think the hood tub is loose or something. I've tried moving it, but it seems really fastened down.

I've circled the gap in red.

Here's a closer view. You can tell in this view, that the metal lip looks like it's supposed to fit snugly over the edge of the tub, but it's not. It's also like this on both sides of the tub.

Oh yeah, MUZ mat in full effect.

How on earth you managed to take that pic I don't know. It must have been difficult. Any chance you can send me a copy of the first pic without the red lines for my archives?

I just checked in my car, and mine are perfectly joined together. HMMMMM, do you park the S with the top down through the night?

Have you had your rear window replaced?

Heh, it wasn't so bad, as long as you can turn backwards in the drivers side chair with the roof up.

Here's the pic with no lines.

No, never had it replaced. But now that I think about it, I had a custom stereo installed. But I can't imagine what they would be doing with the tub. Nothing is installed behind the seats. Although, they did install a custom fiberglass box in the trunk. Unless they had to remove it to run wires, the tub shouldn't be like that. Hmm...Sounds like no one else has that gap?

I notice you have a 2001 model, low VIN number. Perhaps it was taken apart to do the seat belt recall. If I remember correctly, some of the early '01 models were held at the port of entry so the seat belt recall could be done before they were passed through customs. A bad re-assembly could explain those gaps, and you might not even know your car had the recall work done.
