Anyone ever relocate the trunk button or added a small switch somewhere?

I added a new switch into the dash. Used a 2012 Malibu switch and swapped the inside led light to illuminate amber to match the stock lighting. The oringial trunk switch works too.

looks nice but where did you relocate your push to start?

Some people relocate that to the roof switch as they run their HT all year long and doesn't need their Softtop.

True plus those who don't have a soft top all together like myself.

Not sure if that is real carbon fiber or not, but who cares, looks great!

Still interested in the "mod" to allow the key fob to open the trunk when in the ignition (ignition on?).

Nice idea and mod!

You could wire the secondary trunk release to only receive power when the car's ignition has power thus a thief could not open the trunk just by pressing the button (assuming your top is down).

They also sell security keypad devices that require the user to enter a pass code to enable power to the device. This is the one we've used a few times for starter kill:

For the radio control and A/C units we do sell a replacement carbon fiber panel as shown here:

I did that to my car, and you can also unlock the passenger door with the key in the ignition. I did the mod as I didn't like reaching over to unlock the passenger door for my wife when the car was running, it is quite a stretch, lol.

It is relatively simple to do, if I recall it is just snipping one or two wires on the keyless entry module. There used to be a DIY on this but I no longer see it, I swear it came from Modifry but I don't see it anymore.
