Anyone frm Ithaca? Or Upstate NY?
Good morning all-
This is great; we should keep this thread going as the Upstate Gang.
So how was the AutoX?
Obviously I did not show up
, I took the time to go for one last motorcycle ride
, and then to change its bodily fluids, roll it into the back of the garage and cover it with its blankie for the winter
.
'85 HONDA 650 Nighthawk - still does 0-60 in 4.0 seconds with 48,750 miles!
My original 6-speed, high rpm 4-cyl, 11,500 red-line

Hi All,
I did meet with Jimmy, and he rode along on 3 runs. We also took a ride through some twisties and blasted up a few hills. I think he's convinced! Hopefully he will check in and tell us his impressions.
The AutoX was great! There is one other member of the Glen region with an S2000, but I knew he would not be there. I was thrilled to see two other S2000s there when I arrived! One was driven by a guy who lives locally, and this was his first AutoX event. (I'm a novice too, this was my 5th AutoX)
The other one was driven by Chris from Rochester. It had a spoon exhaust and Kumho tires. He was the fastest time of the day, and fastest PAX too. Amazing! He beat a Formula 440 car that is usually the fastest in the group by a wide margin. And he has only had the car since September! I believe he is a member of the board, so maybe we'll hear from him too.

There is nothing quite like an R-compound tire to make your day!
I can't wait to hear from Jimmy.
Glad you had such a great time, but then having fun with an S2000 is not hard to imagine!
