I've been a Honda owner for years. I currently drive a 98 Honda Prelude, and lately I've been considering getting a Honda S2000. I know that they were hard to get a good deal on last year, but what about this year? Is anyone paying less than MSRP?

Thanks,

Jason

I must start by saying that everyone who owns an S2000 got a good deal, even if they paid over MSRP (like me), as this is one sweet car. That being said, just about everyone I know got it at MSRP or above. i would be curious to see if anyone got it for significantly less. but i would not be jealous of them. In fact, i'd be happy for anyone who gets the incredible opportunity to own one of these incredible little cars!

I paid $32K even plus tax here in NY on 12/30/00. I was fortunate to walk into the dealership after they had just taken delivery of 3 Silver/Black 2001's. It also helped to shop the week between X-mas and New Years. Not many other crazy people looking to buy a car at that time(especially a convertible).

I am getting mine for MSRP plus tax in MD. Most dealers marked up their price except the place where I am getting the s2k from. I think it would be hard to find dealers selling s2k at msrp......keep looking around!!

I live in California but I am actually going to Maryland
to pick mine up in a couple of weeks. I am getting it for
MSRP. Here in California I've heard anywhere upwards of
40K plus for the car. I think it should be fairly easy
to find the car for MSRP if you look around. If it's not
the very end of the year where dealers make the best
deals I can't imagine the car going for less than MSRP.
Good luck and like our other friends say, whatever you pay
is worth it especially for this car!

I paid less than $100 under MSRP. It was the end of the month of January (brrrr!) and every dealer in town had one on the floor.

I know of 3 dealers in MD at MSRP. Heritage in Towson, Herson's, and Northwest Honda in Owings Mills. This is temporary until it gets warm. Then the demand will go up again.

That's my guess.

I got mine from Duncan Honda in Virginia for MSRP. Could not fathom putting hundreds or thousands of extra dollars in a dealers pocket just to hand me a set of keys.

I got my silver '00 for $1000 of MSRP but the dealer put several options (cd changer, black badges, alarm, and wheellocks!) on it. So they still made a decent profit.
