I have expierenced with the Spoon, J's and Mugen. The stock one is a gear type 1 way LSD, it is not aggressive but it doesn't wear as much as a clutch type. The Quaife is something identical to stock but a little more aggressive. As far as I know difference in LSD is the proportioning and how hard they lock up and the intial torque is how sensitive that the LSD reacts for response. For exp. the out wheel spins more the inner wheel while you turn and the LSD is to compensate by giving close to equal turns inorder to lead the power out to the straight.

With a more aggressive LSD, you will be able to get more speed thru turns under acceleration.

Sorry for my poor engrish

Thanks
Ben

no ben, thank you..

im planning on 9lb w/ comptech Sc w/ AC and all the goodies needed (exedy clutch/injectors/upgraded axles/ upgraded rear mounts etc/aem ems/ct diff housing/amuse header/hks hipower/etc etc etc still searching for Exactly what i NEED ) the worx.. so i figure if im spending around 15k on "EVERYTHING" i might as well add a new LSD to the mix so its a well rounded setup..

friends of mine who have s14's and s15's have said LSD is a must ... im not much of a racer/drifter.. but at times id like to drive the car the max and .. when launching.. have a nice 50/50 ratio so that my S is not putting power to the wheel w/ least resistance but putting power to the wheel thats grabbing the road

thats my explanation of need.. what do you feel would compensate my Need?

riley

thank you

i guess a better question would be do i want

* One way L.S.D.
Specially suited for front wheel drive cars and 4WD car front axles. Activates under acceleration, and acts as a true LSD when the throttle is off. A great chance for improved lap times. A CUSCO original design.

* 1.5 way LSD
Activates under acceleration while the understeer is less than on the 2 way LSD.Recommended for drivers having difficulty with 2 way LSD understeer and one way LSD braking.

* Two way LSD
Recommended on the rear axle for rear drive cars. Activates on both acceleration and deceleration. Recommended for those who prefer hot driving action and big angle drift.

and what brand... sorry to seem like a newb.. i just keep getting told diff things..
