Anyone have a Classic Carrier??
Have been thinking about the get together trips to the Outer Banks and Dragonball and
I realize that I have not taken a weekend trip in the S2K! Worried about packing space!
Was wondering if anyone had used a Classic Carrier rack?
Clasic Carrier
I am considering it!!!

I've been lurking on this thread for a couple days.
I, also, would like to know if this rack is suitable for occasional use hauling large boxes, oriental rugs, and such around town.
I think that you need not be concerned about trunk space for overnight trips.
My wife and I went on a two week- six thousand mile road trip this past summer to see our grand children in Missouri. (All rural winding scenic back roads). Going again this year.
We packed everything in four "Eddie Bauer" medium size soft camping bags. (carry-on size).
We even had enough room for the "boot" when it rained. Learning packing discipline is one of the neat things about driving the S2k.
We make one trip each week to shop for food. We use tightly tied, half-full plastic bags and can fit two level shopping carts of stuff in the trunk. We make a separate run to another store for bottled water, sodas, and wine.

I just got a call from the Seattle area Classic Carrier dealer that they have the S2000 model in stock.
The dealer is Rack 'N' Pack Systems, in Kirkland, WA:
http://www.racknpack.com/
Here's a photo of the luggage carrier:
And the site with all the details:
http://www.classiccarrier.com/carmodel.php...hp3?carmodel=12
If anyone would like, I could stop by and get an in-person look, but I think most questions can be answered on those web sites or by calling a dealer.
Could be useful for those long road trips...
