Anyone have a good S2K Assetto Corsa model?

I did not realize those were all RHD cars. Trying to avoid that if possible. Just a sight picture thing and believe it or not, I think it does translate to the track especially when judging your turn-in' and apex.

So cant believe no one has made a LHD s2000 with all the enthusiasts out there. Especially with how common they are to track!

So anyone know of a RHD model?

You can change the seating position using the onboard settings app. What I do is move the camera to the left. You'll be sitting in the "passenger's seat", but the perspective will be the same as a LHD car.

I've been playing around with GT7's iteration and it's not too bad. You have to do the same things to the GT7 car as the real car to make it behave the way you want it to. I normally play iRacing/ACC but taking a break to play GT7 until I upgrade my GPU as the last one died.

It's still RHD but the sound and interior details are miles above even AC's. The physics aren't as good but I'm having more fun driving the GT7 version to my surprise. Ill leave my set up here in case you do want to try. I feel with this set up, its equivalent to running an S2000 with coilovers and some 200TW tires. It's more on the oversteer side but the breakaway charactericstics of the tire is pretty good

Mods:
- Sport Medium Tires
- Sport pads
- Sport brakes
- Fully adjustable race suspension
  • Front Rebound/Comp.: 38 Rear Rebound/Comp.: 36
  • Swaybar: F: 5 / R: 6
  • Ride height: F: 95mm / R: 100mm

Can you add custom track to GT7? One of the great things about AC is the amount of tracks that have been modeled for it. We mostly use the sim for running and freshening up our lines before track days. It does a great job and really helps for Places like VIR where the lines are fairly complex and eazy to start to forget. The great thing of the fidelity of ACC is it even models accurately what your downshift and what gears you will be running each corner with. Tremendously helpful and quite an effective tool in prepping for track events.

I am not worried about the 'best graphics' but rather the best useful carry over into actual track driving. Correct me if I am wrong, but with the open source nature of AC, there are no better choices out there.

Ah understood. GT7 lacks the track options that AC has for sure (can't load in custom tracks like AC). They just added watkins glen but does not have VIR. You're correct in that nothing comes close to AC in terms of free content and modability. Another option if you're willing to pay the subscription is iRacing. I didn't like the tire model they had years ago, but recently, its quite possibly the best tire physics of any game I've played to date. The tires actually feel realistic unlike most games where you feel like you're driving on marshmallows. FFB is not the best, but honestly that has mattered less the longer I've played it. It's hard to go back to AC after running iRacing for awhile which is very surprising. I usually sub for a month before a Sonoma track day since they're one of the few games that has that track. With AC, its a bit of a double edged sword in that because the content is free, a lot of the content isn't the highest of fidelity. I would say iRacing's iteration of tracks portray elevation change a lot better than AC (i.e the straight after turn 2 at Laguna Seca. In real life its a pretty steep uphill, but in AC, it feels flat.)
